Either area is a good one to launch from if planning an overnight trip (campgrounds can be found at several different spots on the river, including Lower Huron and Hudson Mills Metroparks; notify the offices of the parks in advance if you plan to camp there). From Kensington the river moves along at an easygoing pace, passing through the Huron Meadows, Hudson Mills, Dexter-Huron, Delhi, Lower Huron, Willow, and Oakwoods Metroparks before emptying out into Lake Erie.
